We’ve been listening to all of your questions regarding copiers and printers for the past year. We’ve compiled a list of our most frequently asked questions, as well as answers.
Is my printer Wi-Fi compatible?
You can figure out whether your machine is Wi-Fi capable by perusing the model’s specifications that you purchased. All features and capabilities will either be included in the printer handbook or mentioned online on our website. If you’re unsure, another way to check if your machine has Wi-Fi is to look at its name–if it contains a ‘W’ in the title (ex. Dell E310DW), then chances are there are Wi-Fi capabilities.
Why are there dots on my page when I print?
It’s time to clean your printer’s drum if you’re seeing tiny black spots on the pages it outputs. Paper dust and other debris can harm the surface of the drum within your printer over time. This toner buildup, along with other factors (like heat from a computer), causes those distinctive black marks on your otherwise flawless output.
Will my operating system support this printer?
Your new equipment may not be compatible with some operating systems, particularly antiquated or obsolete versions. Printers typically last around three years before needing to be replaced. Of course, this is determined by how much you use the printer. However, this means that recent machines are less likely to be compatible with ancient operating systems. The easiest way to find out if your OS is supported is by checking your printer’s specs. All of this information can be found on our website or in the printer manual–either online or as a hard copy.
How do I choose my printer?
Choosing the wrong printer might have costly consequences. We generally advise customers to select a printer based on the amount and frequency of output. If you produce a large number of papers on a regular basis, it would be more cost-effective to buy in bulk and utilize a heavier-duty printer in basic terms.
However, if you just need to print on occasion, a smaller and less expensive printer will suffice. A “duty cycle” is a measure of the monthly volume that each printer can manage. Keep this in mind while purchasing your printer so you don’t get one that won’t work for you.
Does my printer come with a USB cable?
USB cables are not always supplied with your printer. If you believe your printer should include one but it isn’t included in the package, please notify us. We’ll gladly replace any missing components, and we offer a USB cable on our product page if you choose to do so.
We can assist you in choosing the best printer for the task, regardless of whether you’re producing a tabloid-sized plan or a full-color PowerPoint presentation on legal paper. Visit our site today or call (973) 439-1570 to find out more.
